Jamila is a writer, presenter and media commentator who appears regularly on The Project, ABC News Breakfast, The Drum, Weekend Today and The Feed on SBS. She was previously editor in chief of Australia’s leading women’s website, Mamamia, leading the editorial team to a coveted media brand of the year title in 2013. Prior to entering the media, Jamila worked in politics as an adviser to minister Kate Ellis and prime minister Kevin Rudd. In 2014, she was named as one of Australia’s 100 most influential women by the Australian Financial Review and won the Australian National University’s young alumnus of the year award. Jamila currently works as a columnist for News Limited and is writing her first book, to be published by Penguin in 2017.
