Michael Green is an award-winning freelance journalist, based in Melbourne. He writes about climate change, environmental, social justice and community issues. His writing has been published in The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, Overland, Meanjin, Right Now and The Big Issue. He is also a coordinator of Behind the Wire and Detention Remembered, two oral history projects documenting the stories of men, women and children who have experienced Australia’s mandatory immigration detention system. He’s a member of the Melbourne Writers Festival Programming Advisory Committee.
