Clive Hamilton is an Australian academic and the author of a number of books, including Growth Fetish, Requiem for a Species: Why We Resist the Truth About Climate Change and, most recently, Earthmasters: Playing God With the Climate. He is currently writing a book on the larger meaning of the Anthropocene, the age of humans. He is also writing a book on the story of protest in Australia. Hamilton was the founder and, for 14 years until 2008, executive director of the Australia Institute, the nationâs leading progressive think-tank. He is currently professor of public ethics at Charles Stuart University in Canberra. He has held various visiting academic positions, including at Yale University, Sciences Po and the University of Oxford.
