Sanaz Fotouhi is the director of the Asia Pacific Writers and Translators Inc. She is a writer, a filmmaker and academic. Her writing has appeared in anthologies and collections in Australia and Hong Kong. She has written for Southerly, The Griffith Review, The Jakarta Post and The Guardian. Her book The Literature of the Iranian Diaspora: Meaning and Identity Since the Islamic Revolution is a pioneering study of the body of Iranian writing in English. Sanaz is also the co-producer of the award-winning and Walkley shortlisted documentary film Love Marriage in Kabul. Currently she is working on a creative nonfiction account of her travels to Afghanistan and a multi-perspective novel about Iranian migratory experience.
