Bernardine Evaristo

Bernardine Evaristo was the first black woman to win the Booker Prize in 2019, with Girl, Woman, Other, her eighth book, which became a global bestseller. Her memoir, Manifesto: On Never Giving Up, was published in 2021. She is President of the Royal Society of Literature and Professor of Creative Writing at Brunel University London.
