Eddie Cubillo

Dr Eddie Cubillo is a descendant of the Larrakia, Wadjigan and Central Arrente peoples with strong family links throughout the Northern Territory. Dr Cubillo is the Director of the Indigenous Law and Justice Hub and Associate-Dean of Indigenous Programs at the Melbourne Law School and is intent on enhancing First Nations access to justice. He recently completed his PhD on the self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Services and won the 2022 UTS Chancellor’s award for outstanding thesis on the grounds of the significance of the work and the quality of the thesis itself.
