Artist Bio

Heather Mitchell

Heather Mitchell is one of Australia’s most acclaimed actors appearing regularly in theatre, film and television. With a career spanning four decades she has performed in more than fifty theatre productions and her film and television credits are countless. She has worked alongside some of the world’s greatest actors, directors and writers and has won awards both here and in the United States. Her film and television credits include Love Me alongside Hugo Weaving for which she was awarded a Silver Logie in 2022, Upright with Tim Minchin, The Unusual Suspects, Palm Beach, The Great Gatsby, Muriel’s Wedding, and Proof. She performed recently in the Sydney theatre Company one person show RBG: Of Many, One written by Suzie Miller and received the Sydney Theatre Award for best mainstage performance in a lead role. Other productions include, The Harp in The South, Playing Beatie Bow and Still Point Turning: The Catherine McGregor Story. She was awarded an Order of Australia in the 2019 for service to the performing arts and the community.
