Jhumpa Lahiri

Jhumpa Lahiri received the Pulitzer Prize in 2000 for Interpreter of Maladies, her debut short story collection. Her 2003 novel The Namesake was released as a film in 2007, and her second short story collection, Unaccustomed Earth, received the 2008 Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award. Her novel, The Lowland was a finalist for both the Man Booker prize and the National Book Award in fiction. Her first book written in Italian was In Altre Parole, and her first full-length self-translation is her forthcoming novel, Whereabouts.
