Jarvis Cocker: Good Pop, Bad Pop

Iconic musician Jarvis Cocker is being beamed in to Melbourne Writers Festival as part of the 2022 program.

When legendary musician and former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker cleaned out his attic loft, he uncovered a treasure trove of memories now chronicled in his funny, poignant and delightfully eccentric memoir, Good Pop, Bad Pop. Cataloguing everything from an old polycotton shirt to his teenage attempts to write songs, Good Pop, Bad Pop reveals the formative experiences that shaped his creative ambitions and is a generous invitation to consider the objects – unglamorous, dog-eared – that define us all.

Cocker joins Melbourne Writers Festival live via video to discuss telling his life story through the ephemera of the past with on-stage interviewer ABC Radio’s Richard Fidler.
