Artist Driver Volunteer Form

Sign up as an Artist Driver Volunteer and help us get authors and artists from A to B.

Volunteer Drivers drive artists to their events around Melbourne and are responsible for dropping off and picking up artists from the airport. Drivers will drive Festival vehicles.

We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, confident communicators who can follow instructions to a tee, problem solve when necessary, and have an excellent knowledge of Melbourne.

The role is best suited to experienced, confident drivers who enjoy being behind the wheel! The role also requires some liaising with external venues, staff and other volunteers.

Volunteers need to have a full drivers licence and be over 25 years old.

All volunteers receive a Festival t-shirt and a Volunteer Pass, gaining entry to all standard MWF events that aren’t sold out.

Driver Volunteer shifts are roughly four to five hours long. You will need to be available to volunteer for at least 4 shifts between 28 August to 10 September.

    You must have a current Full Australian Driver’s License to be an Artist Transport Driver. You will not be required to use your own vehicle for this role.
  • You must be 25 years old or over to be an Artist Transport Driver.
  • Volunteer Training

    There will be an essential briefing and induction session on Tuesday 13 August (6pm – 8pm), which all MWF staff and volunteers will need to attend.
    This session will include separate team briefings, during which Artist Care volunteers will get the chance to meet with a member of the Artist Liaison team and discuss the specifics of this program.
