Volunteer: Box Office

Join the Box Office team.

Box Office volunteers assist with enquiries and ticket sales over the phone and face-to-face. They make up an important part of the visitor experience, and are often the first people our patrons will interact with. We are looking for friendly, sociable people to make up this team. If you have previous Box Office, ticketing or customer service experience, that is a plus!

All volunteers receive a Festival t-shirt and a Volunteer Pass, gaining entry to all standard MWF events that aren’t sold out.

Box Office shifts are roughly four to five hours long. You will need to be available to work prior to, as well as during, the Festival. The Box Office is located at The Wheeler Centre from 20 July to 23 August, Monday to Friday. During the Festival from 24 August to 2 September, the Box Office operates from Fed Square.

    Please indicate that you are able to attend the Box Office training session on Wednesday 18 July. If you have already worked in our box office you won't need to attend this session. There will also be a compulsory briefing and induction session on Monday 6 August at 6pm, which all MWF staff and volunteers will be required to attend.
