Melbourne Writers Festival is staffed year-round by a small team, that grows as each Festival approaches and we welcome production, marketing, ticketing, artist liaison, front-of-house and customer service staff, who bring their expertise and enthusiasm to the task of staging this ten-day celebration. We are based out of our office at the Wheeler Centre on Little Lonsdale Street.

Internships

MWF offers a structured voluntary internship program. Internships are designed for people who want to complete a placement as part of an educational course, and people keen to develop their professional experience and skills. MWF internships provide a professional development experience, with hands-on participation in a major festival environment, in a supportive and fun team.

Interns gain insight into literature and publishing and learn about literary programming, event delivery, arts management, marketing and PR in an arts festival context.

Marketing Internship

Observe complex marketing and publicity activities, working alongside the marketing team to learn on-the-job skills in the execution of digital and traditional marketing and publicity campaigns.
