How do you make sense of the world when everything feels like it’s changing? In Karys McEwen‘s debut novel All the Little Tricky Things, 12-year-old Bertie sets about completing a list of things to do in her hometown the summer before starting high school in a new city. What follows is a heartfelt story about growing up and growing apart that will resonate with all young people embarking on secondary school. Join McEwen as she leads a special event about how to be brave in the face of big changes, reads from her book and answers questions. There are activities for tweens about facing life’s challenges too.
