Enjoy an entire day of Young Adult literary programming featuring author talks, panels and in-depth conversations at MWF19’s YA Day.

Iconic YA author Becky Albertalli shares a stage with writer and journalist Jenna Guillaume to interrogate the runaway success of Albertalli’s queer romance Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda, and the book’s second life on the big screen in the form Love, Simon. They discuss passion on the page, the aching tenderness of adolescent love and how important it is for younger readers to see themselves reflected in literature.

Becky Albertalli is an author of contemporary young adult fiction, including Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (now a major motion picture: Love, Simon), The Upside of Unrequited, Leah On the Offbeat, and What If it’s Us (co-authored with Adam Silvera). She lives with her family in Atlanta, GA, USA.

Jenna Guillaume is the author of What I Like About Me, a funny and heartfelt YA rom-com. She is also a journalist who writes about pop culture, feminism and Australian identity. Jenna grew up in Wollongong and now lives in Sydney.
