ABC Radio presenter Jacinta Parsons’ warm, candid and insightful memoir Unseen delves into the unique challenges of living with an invisible condition – in Parsons’ case, Crohn’s disease. Join her as she lays bare the struggles with shame, loss of identity, the threat of mortality, and the profoundly complex relationships between the chronically ill and their own bodies, as well as with those around them, with Beth Atkinson-Quinton.

Beth is a broadcaster, audio producer and co-director of podcast network Broadwave. Beth hosts The Glasshouse on Triple R and has produced for ABC RN, FBi Radio and Arts Centre Melbourne. Recently, Beth has hosted 7am (Schwartz Media), produced Better Off Dead (The Wheeler Centre) and co-edited the Australian Audio Guide.

Jacinta Parsons is a broadcaster, writer, speaker and author of memoir Unseen: The secret life of chronic illness. She is an ambassador for the Crohn’s and Colitis Association of Australia. She currently hosts Afternoons on ABC Melbourne, delivering a popular mix of art, culture and ideas.
