Jessie Stephens: Heartsick

Sun 5 Sep, 10am
State Library Victoria, Conversation Quarter

Due to COVID-19, this event has been cancelled.

Heartbreak is a brand of grief seldom given due regard. In what promises to be a riveting conversation between two of Australia’s most inquiring minds, writer and podcaster Jessie Stephens talks about her illuminating new book on the topic, Heartsick, with ABC 7.30’s Leigh Sales. Weaving together three true stories, Stephens’ beautifully nuanced exploration of how emotional pain makes and breaks us has been described as ‘original, meticulous, marvellous’ (Trent Dalton) and like ‘Sally Rooney's Normal People meets Louis Theroux’ (Rick Morton).
