Bestselling author Sally Rippin is here to spill the secrets of dreaming up the silly, spooky and sometimes stinky world of the School of Monsters, while her partner in slime Chris Kennett wows you with his illustrations. Discover the magic of storytelling from the writer of the Billie B Brown, Hey Jack!, and Polly and Buster series, and see your own crazy ideas for monsters come to life on the big screen! Ages 6+

Event artists

Chris Kennett is an illustrator(and occasional author)of picture books and junior fiction. After writing and illustrating his first two picture books in 2011–12, Chris has gone on to illustrate the Star Wars franchise and a variety of kid-lit junior novels, including the recent Nerd Herd and School of Monsters series.

Sally Rippin is the author of the Billie B Brown series, which has sold more than five million copies in 18 countries. She is a regular presenter on 3RRR radio and is currently adapting her work for television. Her newest series is School of Monsters, an early reader series that bridges the gap between picture books and school readers.
