A proud Gunai woman and award-winning children’s writer, Kirli Saunders leads a fun-filled and informative session about loving our land. Join the 2020 NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year as she reveals the inspiring story of her new book Bindi—the adventure of an 11-year-old girl who learns about First Nations cultures, bushfires, healing, and being mindful of nature —and leads a special guided meditation for kids. Ages 8+

Kirli Saunders is a proud Gunai woman and award-winning international writer. She is a teacher, consultant and artist. In 2020, Kirli was named the NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year. Kirli’s books include The Incredible Freedom MachinesKindred, and Bindi, which won the 2020 Daisy Utemorrah Award.
