Session Artists

Upulie Divisekera is a doctoral candidate, science communicator, and space advocate based in Melbourne. She has conducted research in nanotechnology, cancer immunotherapies and biology. Her writing has been published in The Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald, Crikey and The Lifted Brow.

Amie Kaufman is a bestselling author of science fiction and fantasy. Her award-winning work has been published in 30 countries, and is in development for film and TV. Some career highlights so far include professional wolf-howling lessons, and working as a storytelling consultant at NASA.

Leena van Deventer is an award-winning game developer, teaching interactive storytelling at RMIT University and Victorian College of the Arts. She sits on the board at the Victorian Women’s Trust, and in 2013 founded WiDGET, a not-for-profit organisation supporting women and non-binary developers.
