‘To many, the words love, hope and dreams are synonymous with horses.’ Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr, polymath and horse-adorer, set hearts aflame with this quote. Join similarly besotted writers David Francis, Eliza Henry-Jones, Selina Jenkins and Zoya Patel as they saddle up.

Session Artists

David Francis's first novel Agapanthus Tango, published in seven languages, is being re-released in Australia in 2018. Stray Dog Winter, his second novel, won the American Library Association Prize for Literature. Wedding Bush Road, his third novel, was released in 2017. His short fiction has appeared in Best Australian Stories, Harvard Review and elsewhere.

Eliza Henry-Jones is the author of In the Quiet and Ache and has recently released her first YA novel, P is for Pearl. She has qualifications in psychology and grief, loss and trauma counselling. Her work has appeared in The Guardian and The Age.

Selina Jenkins is an acclaimed musician, award-winning cabaret artist and celebrated character comedian. She has performed extensively throughout Australia and the US, appeared on ABC Comedy Up Late and will be debuting her highly anticipated new solo show Thy Neighbour in Melbourne later this year.

Zoya Patel founded Feminartsy in 2014, following four years as Editor-In-Chief of Lip Magazine. She has been writing about feminist issues since the age of 15, and has had work published in a number of publications. Her debut book, No-Country Woman will be released by Hachette Australia in August 2018.
