Volunteer with MWF

Join the Festival family. Volunteer applications are open now.

Each year, over 200 volunteers help bring Melbourne Writers Festival to life. From artist care to venue support, our volunteer roles offer a behind-the-scenes look at delivering a world-class literary event, and are a fantastic opportunity to build experience and make new friends in the process. Volunteers gain free access to Festival events (subject to availability) and a Festival t-shirt.

Applications are open now for the 2021 Festival and close at 9am, Thursday 29 July 2021.
