Phone-a-Poem
Dial a number on a landline handset to hear new poetry read by regional Victorian poets. From 8-11 May, look for three handsets at Festival venues and escape into the world of words.
Listen to original poems read by regional Victorian poets by dialling a number on one of three Wonderfoon handsets. Inspired by John Giorno’s iconic 1969 artwork Dial-a-Poem, each number unlocks a unique poem by a contemporary Australian poet.
Curated by Izzy Roberts-Orr, Phone-a-Poem invites people of all ages to engage with poetry in a tactile and interactive experience.
Phone-a-Poem is supported by the Australian Government’s Arts and Cultural Development Program, Regional Arts Australia and Regional Arts Victoria.
