  Caitlin McGregor

  Caitlin McGregor is a writer, editor and illustrator. Their writing has been published in a range of magazines and literary journals, including Meanjin, Kill Your Darlings, Sydney Review of Books, Going Down Swinging and The Big Issue. Caitlin was the winner of the inaugural KYD Creative Nonfiction Essay Prize in 2022, and in 2023 they were the illustrator for the debut issue of Sunder Poetry Journal. They are currently a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne, and live and work on unceded Dja Dja Wurrung country.

  Clem Bastow

  Dr Clem Bastow is a screenwriter, cultural critic and award-winning critical Autism studies researcher from Naarm–Melbourne. Clem works as a screenwriter and neurodiversity consultant for film and television, and teaches screenwriting at the University of Melbourne. Clem’s debut non-fiction book, Late Bloomer, was published in 2021. They have contributed to books including Investigating Stranger Things and ReFocus: The films of Elaine May, and their writing appears regularly in The Guardian. They’re currently working on a series of critical Autism studies essays and a collection of speculative fiction short stories.

  Jess Ho

  Jess Ho (they/them) is a freelance writer, journalist and critic based in Naarm/Melbourne. Their memoir, Raised By Wolves, was published in 2022 by Affirm Press. They are the host and producer of Bad Taste, a podcast about who we are through the foods we eat. They were previously the food and drink editor of Time Out Melbourne, and their work has appeared in outlets such as Gourmet Traveller, Eater, The Guardian, The Age Spectrum, and Good Weekend. While Jess is primarily known for being a food writer, their work is skewed towards decolonising the way we consume food.

  Jo Case

  Jo Case is co-editor, with Clem Bastow, of Someone Like Me: essays by autistic women and gender-diverse writers and author of a memoir about autistic motherhood, Boomer and Me. Her day job is deputy editor, Books & Ideas, at The Conversation. She has been a publisher, festival programmer, bookseller and literary editor. Her words have been published in The Guardian, The Monthly, Best Australian Stories, The Age and Sydney Morning Herald, and more. She lives in Adelaide.

  Marlee Jane Ward

  Marlee Jane Ward is a writer and visual artist living on Wurundjeri Land in Melbourne, Australia. She is the author of the award-winning Orphancorp series. Her short fiction is published in Aurealis, Apex, Interfictions, Terraform and others. You can find her non-fiction in Overland, Meanjin, Kill Your Darlings, Scum Mag and more.
