Butter is the story of a young tabloid journalist, Rika, who makes contact with Manako Kajii, a notorious serial killer of lonely older men. As Rika becomes obsessed with Manako’s culinary skills, the two women are drawn into a shared realm of transgressive pleasure and hedonistic appetite.
