Torrey Peters: Stag Dance

Nevo Zisin (they/them) is a storyteller, creative educator on transgender possibilities, TEDx speaker, poet and workshop facilitator. They are the award-winning author of Finding Nevo (2017) and The Pronoun Lowdown (2021). Nevo’s work explores collective healing and liberation, mutual aid as a mycelial network ecosystem, reclaiming transgender divinity, making mistakes and creating a practice of failure. Their identity exists in the breaths between words and their greatest accomplishments in life beyond anything, are their friendships.

Torrey Peters is the author of the novel Detransition, Baby, which won the 2021 PEN/Hemingway award for debut fiction and was named a Best Book of the Century by the New York Times. Her second book, Stag Dance, was published in March. Torrey is an amateur sauna builder, rides a pink motorcycle, and splits her time between Brooklyn and an off-grid cabin in Vermont.
