Lally Katz: Writing Your Life

Lally Katz is a screenwriter, playwright and memoirist, widely regarded as one of Australia’s most in-demand writers. The Sydney Morning Herald described her work as “if The Simpsons were written by Tennessee Williams.” She has written more than 50 plays produced on major stages in Australia and internationally. Her show Stories I Want to Tell You in Person toured Australia, Mexico and India and became an ABC program. She has developed projects with FX, Showtime and ABC Signature, wrote for Hulu’s The Great, and has written for Sunny Nights (Stan) and Shaun Tan’s animated series Tales From Outer Suburbia (ABC). Her memoir My Cursed Vagina is published by Allen & Unwin.
