  Tony Birch holds the Boisbouvier Chair in Australian Literature at Melbourne University. He is the author of four novels, five short fiction collections, and two poetry books. He most recent book is the novel, Women and Children (UQP).

  Jeanine Leane

  Jeanine Leane is a Wiradjuri writer, poet and teacher from the Murrumbidgee River near Gundagai. Her poetry has won numerous awards and prizes, most recently the David Harold Tribe Prize 2023. Leane is widely published in the areas of Aboriginal literature, literary critique, and writing identity and difference. She is currently a First Nations Writer in Residence at the University of Melbourne where she previously taught Creative Writing and Aboriginal Literature.

  Samah Sabawi

  Dr Samah Sabawi is a Palestinian author, poet and playwright based in Naarm. She has received multiple awards for her work including a Green Room Best Writing Award for THEM and the Palestine Book Award for the poetry collection I Remember My Name – Poetry by Samah Sabawi, Ramzy Baroud and Jehan Bseiso.

  Micaela Sahhar

  Dr Micaela Sahhar is an Australian-Palestinian writer. Her work has appeared in Cordite, Overland, Sydney Review of Books and Griffith Review, among others. She was commended for the Peter Blazey Fellowship, and is a Wheeler Centre Next Chapter Fellow (2021) and recipient of the Neilma Sidney Literary Travel Fund (2022).

  Mykaela Saunders

  Mykaela Saunders is the author of the David Unaipon Award-winning Always Will Be, and the editor of This All Come Back Now, the Aurealis Award-winning anthology of blackfella speculative fiction. Mykaela is Koori/Goori and Lebanese and is a postdoctoral research fellow at Macquarie University.

  Sara M Saleh

  Sara M Saleh is a writer, human rights lawyer, and the daughter of Palestinian, Lebanese and Egyptian migrants. Her debut novel Songs for the Dead and the Living (Affirm Press) and first full-length poetry collection The Flirtation of Girls/Ghazal el-Banat (UQP) were both released late 2023. Sara won the 2021 Peter Porter Poetry Prize and the 2020 Judith Wright Poetry Prize, amongst other honours.
